We recruited 15 volunteer households in each of 8 California communities to provide water samples during the periods of January-March and July-September 2020. The map shows the location of the communities. Four of the communities (the East SF Bay Area, San Mateo, Los Angeles and Irvine) have historically elevated breast cancer rates while the the remaining four communities have lower than average rates of breast cancer.
